Job summary

IAPMO in New York is seeking a Construction Superintendent - General Contractor to lead on-site construction activities for commercial projects, coordinating subcontractors, trades, and site operations to ensure safety, schedule adherence, and high-quality outcomes.

You will act as the primary field leader, enforcing safety protocols, interpreting drawings, and driving daily progress in collaboration with Project Managers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
• Experience as a Superintendent on ground-up or interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of NYC/Long Island construction practices and codes.
• Ability to manage multiple trades and aggressive schedules.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.
• Experience with construction management software (Procore, MS Project).
