The Encompass Group is partnering with a nationally recognized general contractor to identify an experienced Construction Superintendent to join its growing Texas team. This is a true field leadership opportunity for a Superintendent who takes ownership of the jobsite, knows how to lead subcontractors and project teams, and understands what it takes to deliver successful construction projects from start to finish.
The company has a strong presence throughout Texas, with the majority of its work concentrated in the DFW area. Its project portfolio is heavily focused on K–12 education, municipal, higher education, and public-sector construction, including schools, fire stations, police stations, and city halls.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day field operations from mobilization through project closeout
- Oversee jobsite safety, quality, scheduling, coordination, and overall project execution
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or field issues
- Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation
- Coordinate with Project Managers, architects, engineers, owners, and subcontractors
- Utilize Procore to manage project documentation, communication, and field activities
- Lead project meetings and provide updates on progress, schedule, and issues
- Oversee inspections, punch list, commissioning, and closeout activities
- Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients and project partners
Qualifications
- 5+ years of commercial construction experience with demonstrated Superintendent experience
- Previous K–12 construction experience required; experience does not need to be recent
- Experience with municipal, institutional, higher education, or other public-sector construction is highly valued
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, plans, specifications, and field coordination
- Experience with Procore preferred
- Experience developing and maintaining project schedules preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable interacting directly with owners, clients, architects, subcontractors, and project teams
- Ability to identify problems early and develop practical solutions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold subcontractors and project partners accountable
