Traveling Superintendent – Affordable Housing / Multifamily Renovations
National Travel | Occupied Multifamily Rehabilitation | $20M+Projects
Bridge Partners of Texas is recruiting experienced Traveling Construction Superintendents for multiple established and growing General Contractors specializing in Affordable Housing, LIHTC, HUD, and large-scale occupied Multifamily Renovations throughout the United States.
We are seeking seasoned field leaders with significant experience managing occupied apartment renovations, multifamily rehabilitation, substantial rehab, and phased construction projects. Typical assignments involve communities of approximately 100–300+ units, with construction budgets ranging from $20 million to $80+ million.
These are not ground-up construction positions. Our clients need Superintendents who understand the unique challenges of renovating existing multifamily properties while coordinating residents, property management, subcontractors, and multiple construction phases.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee daily field operations for large-scale occupied multifamily renovation and rehabilitation projects.
- Manage phased construction schedules, occupied unit renovations, unit turnovers, and resident coordination.
- Supervise subcontractors, trade partners, Assistant Superintendents, and field personnel.
- Coordinate interior and exterior rehabilitation scopes, including MEP upgrades, building envelope improvements, structural repairs, ADA upgrades, and common-area renovations.
- Manage construction sequencing and scheduling to maintain production while minimizing disruption to residents.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, property management, ownership representatives, and resident relocation teams when applicable.
- Oversee quality control, site safety, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout.
- Identify and resolve unforeseen field conditions common to existing buildings and substantial rehabilitation projects.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, construction documentation, and project progress updates.

- Experience overseeing multifamily communities with approximately 100–300 units.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex renovation scopes, preferably on projects with budgets of $10M or greater.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, unit turnover schedules, subcontractor coordination, and occupied-site logistics.
- Experience managing multiple trades and construction activities simultaneously.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP construction drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate field execution. Identify drawing discrepancies, coordinate RFIs and field clarifications with Project Management, and proactively address unforeseen conditions common to existing-building renovations.
- Strong field leadership, communication, scheduling, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally for extended project assignments.
