The Construction Superintendent is responsible for the day-to-day field operations of assigned construction projects, making sure work is completed safely, correctly, and on schedule. Working closely with the Project Manager, the Superintendent is expected to take ownership of the jobsites, plan ahead, hold trade partners accountable, and address problems before they become larger issues.

Build Local. Be Home at Night.

Our projects are local, which means no overnight travel or weeks spent living out of hotels. Lead the work in the field, build projects you're proud of, and still sleep in your own bed at night.

Key Responsibilities 1. Own the Jobsite
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day operation of assigned jobsites.
  • Know what is happening on each project, what needs to happen next, and keep the Project Manager informed.
  • Keep the jobsites organized and the work moving.
  • Spot problems early and work to solve them.
Key Responsibilities 2. Manage the Schedule & Trade Partners
  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors so work happens in the right order and stays on schedule.
  • Make sure subcontractors have what they need to complete their work.
  • Hold subcontractors accountable for their scope, quality, safety, and deadlines.
  • Plan ahead for upcoming work, inspections, and material deliveries, and tell the Project Manager about anything that could cause a delay.
Key Responsibilities 3. Ensure Quality & Solve Field Problems
  • Read and understand project plans, scopes, and specifications.
  • Check work regularly, identify problems or work that does not meet project standards, and make sure it is corrected.
  • Identify missing or unclear information and work with the Project Manager to get answers.
  • Do not approve extra work or changes in scope without proper approval.
Key Responsibilities 4. Maintain a Safe & Organized Jobsite
  • Keep jobsites safe, clean, organized, and secure, and make sure everyone onsite follows safety rules and project requirements.
  • Address and document safety concerns or violations.
  • Coordinate inspections and make sure the site is ready for them.
Key Responsibilities 5. Communicate & Document
  • Keep accurate field records, including daily reports, progress photos, safety reports, and important jobsite issues.
  • Keep the Project Manager informed about progress, delays, problems, extra work, or anything that could affect the project's cost or schedule.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and other project partners.
Key Responsibilities 6. Finish the Job
