Job summary

Allegrone Companies in Lenox, MA is seeking a Construction Supervisor to lead field operations on major projects. You will supervise daily site activities, ensure safety, quality, and on-schedule progress, and coordinate with project managers and engineers.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of experience, a solid understanding of construction means and methods, the ability to read plans and specs, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain site logistics plan with the Project Manager.
• Research and address owner, landlord, city/state requirements to avoid delays.
• Develop and build relationships with sub-contractors, architects, engineers and owners.

The Superintendent is responsible for all trades during the construction process. As an integral part of the project team, our superintendents collaborate with the project managers and engineers to implement the schedule, manage the support field staff, and ensure all field operations are on-schedule.

What you’ll be doing…

• Supervise construction efforts and oversee all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site.
• Participate in the development and final review of scope, buy-out and schedule.
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager.
• Research, review and address any owner, landlord, city/state requirement or procedure to avoid project delays, ensure safety, and/or ensure client satisfaction.
• Develop and build relationships with sub-contractors, architects, engineers and owners.

What you bring to the table...

• 5 years’ experience as a Construction Supervisor on major construction projects.
• A working understanding of construction means, methods and techniques.
• The ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and other contract documents as well as a broad understanding of best construction practices is required.
