Job summary

True Red is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee a portfolio of commercial projects across South Texas, including San Antonio, South Austin, and Corpus Christi. This hands-on leadership role will guide field teams from preconstruction through completion.

Travel to multiple sites, strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to manage subcontractors and schedules are essential. Competitive base salary plus benefits and travel package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Commercial Superintendent or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience managing commercial projects from start to finish.
• Experience with renovations, tenant improvements, restaurants, offices, or similar commercial projects.
• Strong reading of drawings and specs; proficient in scheduling and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations across multiple commercial projects.
• Lead subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel with clear direction.
• Coordinate activities, site logistics, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; monitor milestones and deadlines.
• Conduct site inspections for progress, quality, and safety compliance.
• Enforce safety policies and lead daily safety meetings and OSHA compliance.
• Review plans and specs to identify issues before they impact progress.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subs.
• Track progress and communicate updates and solutions to leadership.
• Oversee quality control and project closeout including punch lists and turnover.

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join their growing construction team and oversee a diverse portfolio of commercial projects across South Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on construction leader who enjoys managing complex projects, leading field teams, and delivering high‑quality builds from preconstruction through completion.

Projects will include commercial renovations, entertainment and amusement facilities, restaurants, office spaces, manufacturing facilities, and ground‑up/site development projects. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day field operations across multiple commercial construction projects
• Provide leadership, direction, and supervision to subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
• Coordinate daily activities, site logistics, manpower, materials, and equipment needsDevelop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are achieved
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with plans and specifications
• Enforce company safety policies and maintain a strong jobsite safety culture
• Lead daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure OSHA compliance
• Review plans, drawings, specifications, and identify potential issues before they impact progress
• Coordinate with Project Managers, clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Track project progress and communicate updates, challenges, and solutions to leadership
• Manage quality control processes and ensure work meets company and client expectations
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists, inspections, and final turnover
• Resolve field issues quickly while maintaining positive relationships with all project stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of experience as a Commercial Superintendent or similar field leadership role
• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from start to finish
• Experience with renovations, tenant improvements, restaurants, offices, manufacturing, entertainment, or similar commercial projects preferred
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, safety requirements, and quality control
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple trades and priorities
• Proficiency with construction technology and scheduling/project management tools
• Willingness to travel throughout the San Antonio, South Austin, and Corpus Christi markets
