Tidal Construction Group LLC ("Tidal"), a fast-growing commercial construction company, is seeking a Superintendent to contribute to and support the planning and execution of commercial construction projects. This role is primarily on job sites, managing and overseeing all aspects of a construction project from start to finish. Tidal operates along the east coast from West Palm Beach south to Miami, and on the west coast of Florida in Tampa.

The superintendent is responsible for the overall safety, schedule, quality, and management of on-site activities for each construction project (ranging from $2M to $10M). They will assist with planning, coordination, and execution of work to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining a safe workplace.

The Superintendent must ensure high-quality service delivery to satisfy the Owner/Client.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage onsite planning and coordination of subcontractor activities according to contract and guidelines, coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project plans, quality control, permit inspections, and maintain subcontractor relationships.
2. Read, understand, and interpret plans and specifications; develop and maintain schedules to deliver projects on time. Knowledge of construction sequencing and ability to create a 2-week look-ahead schedule.
3. Ensure code and legal compliance; coordinate quality inspections.
4. Manage shop drawing process, material expediting, daily cleanup, conduct daily jobsite walks, coordinate inspections, and manage start-up and commissioning of equipment.
5. Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment professionally.
6. Submit daily and weekly status updates to senior management.
7. Track significant project information such as Toolbox Talks, meeting minutes, document transmittals, drawing logs, submittal logs, RFI logs, change order logs, etc.
8. Maintain all on-site documentation, including contracts and daily logs.
9. Assist in preparing change proposals for owners, ensuring coverage of all costs, equipment, and time-related activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of superintendent or project management experience in commercial construction.
• Completion (or ability to complete) of all safety trainings, including OSHA 30.
• Experience leading and managing multiple construction projects.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (40-80 lbs.) manually or with equipment, using proper safety procedures.
