Job summary

Engtal in Connecticut is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations on commercial projects. You will manage on-site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and keep projects on schedule while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, plan-reading skills, and proficiency with Procore. OSHA 30 is preferred, with a track record of delivering high-quality work on time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience
• Ability to independently run projects and coordinate multiple trades
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, sequencing, and safety
• Experience reading plans, specifications, and construction documents
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Procore or similar construction management software experience preferred
• OSHA 30 preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day construction activities on site from mobilization through project closeout
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, trades, vendors, and site logistics
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term look-ahead schedules
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate regularly with the Project Manager
• Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Manage site safety, quality control, inspections, and overall jobsite organization
• Identify potential schedule or constructability issues and proactively resolve them
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders
• Manage punch list and closeout activities

A well-established Connecticut General Contractor is looking to add an experienced Construction Superintendent to its team. This is an opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong pipeline of commercial work throughout the region.

The Superintendent will take ownership of day-to-day field operations and work closely with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard of quality.
