Newman Construction is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead luxury residential and commercial ground-up projects in South Florida. This onsite role requires guiding projects from initial plans through final turnover, while coordinating top-tier subcontractors in a family-run environment.

You will supervise subcontractors, manage in-house trades, and collaborate with PMs, architects, and designers to keep projects on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on onsite construction supervision experience.
• Proven track record supervising luxury residential projects over $1 million.
• Experience taking ground-up projects from blueprints to turnover.
• Ability to read technical blueprints, contract docs, and schedules.
• Strong computer literacy to compile status reports and use project software.
• Must reside in South Florida with reliable transportation.

Job Overview

• Company: Newman Construction.
• Salary/Pay Rate: $90,000 - $150,000 per year (Salary, based on experience) plus Performance-Based Bonus.
• Location: North Miami Beach, FL (Field Operations / Onsite across Dade and Broward County).

You will serve as a vital field leader driving high-end ground-up residential and commercial builds across South Florida. In this role, you will take projects from initial plans to pristine, finished homes while managing top-tier subcontractor teams. How You Will Make An Impact

• Supervise and coordinate daily onsite subcontractor activities to ensure strict adherence to project plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Manage in-house trade personnel and labor staff while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control on every phase of the build.
• Oversee ground-up residential construction from initial blueprint plans through final luxury home turnover.
• Communicate daily with senior management by submitting detailed daily and weekly project status updates.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, designers, and subcontractors to resolve site conflicts and prevent schedule delays.
• Assist the project team in producing RFIs, change orders, schedule updates, and schedules of values.
• Lead onsite Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) and trade alignment meetings to maintain open project communication.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on onsite construction supervision experience.
• Proven track record managing luxury residential projects with construction values exceeding $1 million.
• Demonstrated experience taking ground-up construction projects from blueprints through complete turnover.
• Proficiency in reading technical blueprints, contract documents, and project schedules.
• Computer literacy with the ability to compile status reports and navigate project software.
• Must currently reside in South Florida with a positive attitude, leadership skills, and reliable personal transportation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on onsite construction supervision experience.
• Fluency in both English and Spanish to communicate effectively with field trade personnel is a plus.
• Diverse project experience spanning luxury residential homes, interior fit-outs, and commercial builds.
• Strong track record of proactive problem-solving to mitigate budget overruns and contract document errors.
