Job summary

The Boring Company in Las Vegas is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead post-TBM station and tunnel buildout, directing electrical, fire life safety, lighting, painting, and paving to deliver complete, operating infrastructure ready for commissioning.

You will manage day-to-day field crews and subs, coordinate with engineering and operations, enforce safety standards, and drive productivity under tight schedules in a real tunnel environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• OSHA 10 or higher required.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Working knowledge of all construction operations.
• Knowledge of site layout, steel, concrete, and form work.
• Experience with heavy equipment (excavators, front loaders).
• Experience with hand tools (jacklegs, air tools).

Job description

The Boring Company was founded to solve the problem of soul-destroying traffic by creating an underground network of tunnels. Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions. We are seeking superintendents to help with our scaling projects in Las Vegas.

Responsibilities

• Lead post-TBM station and tunnel buildout, directing the installation of electrical systems, fire life safety, lighting, painting, paving, and related finishing work to deliver complete, operational infrastructure.
• Manage day-to-day field crews, subcontractors, and trade sequencing to maintain aggressive schedules while upholding strict safety, quality, and coordination standards in an active tunnel environment.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, production, and operations teams to resolve constructability issues, ensure systems integration, and keep work progressing without delays.
• Enforce rigorous safety protocols, quality inspections, and documentation throughout the buildout phase, driving accountability and continuous improvement on site.
• Oversee material staging, equipment utilization, and trade handoffs to maximize productivity and deliver finished stations and tunnels ready for commissioning and passenger operations.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• OSHA 10 or greater.
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
• Possess a working knowledge of all aspects of construction operations.
• Knowledge of site layout, steel work, concrete, and form work.
• Working knowledge of heavy equipment, such as excavators, front loaders.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, such as jacklegs, and air tools.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 5 years of experience as a foreman or in a supervisory capacity, ideally in a tunneling environment. (With reference)

Additional Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted
• Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in heavy construction areas.
