Job summary

The ELTA Group in the Midwest is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead on multifamily construction sites. You will be the main on-site contact and work closely with the Project Manager to keep progress, schedules, and costs on track.

The role requires at least 3 years of superintendent experience, strong communication, and the ability to perform outdoors in all weather, including some weekends. You will ensure quality and safety, review plans, and drive projects toward occupancy through to

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years as a Superintendent in multifamily construction GC or related fields.
• Experience with FinishLine project management system.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to work outdoors in varying weather; onsite during construction including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main site point of contact and coordinate with Project Manager on progress and costs.
• Review progress, schedules, and requirements for completion and report regularly.
• Monitor safety, site cleanliness, and maintain a respectful working environment.
• Alert management to potential issues and assist in resolution.
• Attend weekly progress and budget meetings.
• Oversee workmanship to ensure plans and specs are followed; inspect units and sites hourly.
• Must be onsite for all construction activities and weekends as required.
• Ensure all phases of the job progress from site works to occupancy and punch lists.

Responsibilities

• Main site point of contact
• Assist the Project Manager in reviews and updates progress and cost reports, schedules and requirements for completion on a regular basis
• Monitoring all onsite safety, jobsite clean-up and a respectful working environment,
• Advises project manager and/or management of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc., assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required
• Attending weekly meetings regarding progress of project and budget
• Actively review the work performance to assure good quality control and make certain work conforms to plans and specifications by Architect. Aggressively checking on and walking units, buildings, site on an hourly basis.
• Must be onsite during all construction activities and during construction works this would include weekends
• Responsible for getting all phases of job complete: from site works through receipt of occupancy by Owner and completion of punch-list items.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 or more years experience working as a Superintendent preferably in a multifamily construction GC but will consider commercial or industrial experience. Working knowledge Microsoft Products-Outlook, Word, Excel
• Experience working with Project Management in FinishLine
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Ability to work inside or outside and in varying weather condition, must be onsite during all construction activities-including some weekends.
