Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Commercial Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage daily on-site construction activities for commercial projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all phases of construction are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards. This position requires excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all on-site construction activities, including subcontractors, labor, materials, and equipment.
• Manage and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of project milestones.
• Enforce site safety standards in accordance with OSHA and company policies; conduct regular safety meetings.
• Coordinate daily operations and ensure compliance with construction documents, specifications, and building codes.
• Conduct inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress reports.
• Serve as the on-site liaison between project management, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Resolve conflicts and delays by working collaboratively with project stakeholders.
• Monitor resource allocation, deliveries, and inventory of materials and equipment.
• Oversee project close-out activities, including final inspections and punch list completion.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in reading blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project).
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Primarily field-based; requires presence on active construction sites.
• May require extended hours, including evenings or weekends, depending on project deadlines.
• Exposure to various weather conditions and physical demands typical of construction environments.
