Job Overview

Our premier construction client in Detroit is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee complex construction projects across the Detroit Metro Area. This role is critical to ensuring project excellence, safety, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day operations at active construction sites
• Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors and trade teams
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols and OSHA compliance
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality control assessments
• Resolve field-level technical and logistical challenges
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project reports
• Ensure compliance with local Detroit and Michigan building codes
• Manage project documentation and maintain accurate job site records
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and client representatives
• Monitor and control project budgets and resource allocation

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on construction superintendent experience
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial or industrial construction
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods and building technologies
• OSHA 30-Hour Safety Certification
• Proficient in project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work in various weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Detroit area
