General Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Staking CAD Technician to use CAD software like AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center to create and manage construction layout plans, ensuring accurate placement of buildings and infrastructure based on survey data and designed documents.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Creating Construction Staking Point Files: Convert survey data into digital points for on-site layout.
2. Generating Construction Layout Drawings: Create detailed plans showing the precise location of buildings, utilities, concrete structures, and other infrastructure elements.
3. Working with Survey Data: Process and interpret survey data (Autocad files supplied by the client) to accurately represent site conditions and project requirements.
4. Ensuring Accuracy and Quality: Check for errors and inconsistencies in drawings to meet project standards.
5. Collaborating with Engineers and Surveyors: Work closely with other professionals to ensure accuracy and project needs are met.
6. Using CAD Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center is essential.
7. Understanding Construction Layout Principles: Have a strong understanding of construction layout principles and techniques.
8. Maintaining Project Documentation: Keep accurate records of survey data, drawings, and related information.
9. Quality Control: Monitor staking processes and ensure trades adhere to staking instructions.

Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in CAD Software: Strong skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and other relevant CAD tools.
2. Knowledge of Surveying Principles: Good understanding of surveying principles and techniques.
3. Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure accuracy in drawings and data.
4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues during construction layout.
5. Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with engineers, surveyors, and project stakeholders.
6. Experience with Construction Staking: Prior experience is a plus.
7. Education: Degree in engineering, surveying, or a related field preferred; relevant experience and training are also valuable.
