We are hiring a Construction Specialist to support fiber and coax telecommunications construction projects. This role will perform field quality inspections, audits, and documentation to ensure network infrastructure is installed correctly and meets company standards, specifications, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Field Construction & Quality Assurance
• Perform field inspections of fiber and coax construction projects.
• Verify overhead and underground network installations meet company standards.
• Inspect hardline, strand, poles, joint-trench construction, nodes, taps, amplifiers, and enclosures.
• Ensure construction quality from build phase through operational handoff.
• Project Coordination
• Act as the primary day-to-day liaison between contractors and network operations teams.
• Support project scheduling, milestone tracking, and construction activities.
• Coordinate with specialists, technicians, and leadership teams.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Update JT/Polaris job documentation and perform QC validation.
• Maintain accurate construction records, production logs, labor tracking, and material expenditures.
• Generate reports on project progress, quality findings, and construction costs.
• Safety & Compliance
• Conduct field safety audits and site visits.
• Participate in safety meetings and enforce safety protocols.
• Performance Oversight
• Monitor contractor and crew performance.
• Assign priorities and track work completion.
• Resolve customer requests and construction-related complaints.

Required Qualifications

• Fiber and coax construction experience (required).
• Understanding of: Nodes, Taps, Amplifiers, Enclosures, Power supplies
• Telecommunications infrastructure
• Field Experience
• Comfortable spending approximately 90% of work time in the field.
• Able to perform physical inspections.
• Able to lift vault lids and pedestal covers.
• Willing to travel and work variable schedules, including nights/weekends if needed.

Preferred Experience

• Telecommunications construction quality control (QC).
• Smartsheet for tracking, reporting, and documentation.
• Coordinating with construction, engineering, and project management teams.
• Fiber and coax plant construction oversight.
