Job summary

Signet Testing Laboratories, Inc. is seeking Soil Technicians, Construction Inspectors, Welding Inspectors, ACI and NDT (UT/MT) Technicians to join our geotechnical and materials testing team in Northern California.

The role requires the ability to interpret construction documents, perform inspections, and prepare clear reports documenting test results. We offer opportunities for diverse project work, with regular OT and potential night/weekend shifts; valid CA driver license and willingness to

Qualifications

• Entry or senior level Special Inspector with current ICC, AWS, and ACI certifications.
• One year of Special Inspector field experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend basic plans and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with a team.
• Willingness to travel and work at construction sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction and document building code compliance.
• Prepare clear, concise reports capturing testing results.
• Interact with client representatives at project sites.
• Monitor procedures for compliance with specifications.
• Perform calculations to check testing data.
