American Structurepoint’s Construction Solutions Group invites you to join our summer internship in Fort Wayne, IN. As a Construction Solutions Intern, you’ll gain hands-on field experience inspecting construction work, testing materials, and tracking project progress.

You’ll also assist with office tasks, review plans, prepare daily reports, and participate in project meetings, while learning how roads, bridges, and utilities come to life in the communities we serve.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering degree with focus on civil topics.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for site travel.
• Willingness to learn, communicate clearly, and work outdoors.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors and residents to keep projects moving.
• Observe material testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils.
• Visit sites to document progress and ensure schedules.
• Use Office tools and Site management software to report data.
• Support projects involving roads, bridges, utilities.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

What you will do:

• Help keep projects running smoothly by coordinating with contractors, designers, utility companies, and local residents - getting a front-row seat to how everything comes together
• Gain hands-on experience with material testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils - learning the science behind construction quality
• Visit construction sites to observe daily contractor activities, document progress, and ensure everything stays on track
• Use tools like Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager , and BlueBeam to organize and report project info - building your tech skills along the way
• Support real construction projects involving roads, bridges, and utility systems— projects that directly impact communities
• Other tasks as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Civil Engineering
• Reliable personal vehicle and a valid Driver's License for transportation to the office and between project sites
• Strong work ethic, clear communication skills, and a genuine eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
