Job summary

American Structurepoint invites students to join our Construction Solutions Group in Indianapolis, IN as a summer intern. You will gain hands-on field experience inspecting construction work, testing materials, and tracking progress, while assisting with plans, reports, and meetings.

As a Construction Solutions Intern, you will work outdoors, coordinate with teams, and learn how roads, bridges, and utilities are brought to life in our communities.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing Civil/Environmental/Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license.
• Strong work ethic, clear communication, eagerness to learn.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with contractors, designers, utilities, and residents to keep projects on track.
• Observe material testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils.
• Visit sites to document progress and ensure tasks stay on schedule.
• Use Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager, and BlueBeam to organize and report project information.
• Assist with reviewing plans, preparing daily reports, and participating in meetings.
• Support ongoing construction projects involving roads, bridges, and utilities.

What you will do:

• Help keep projects running smoothly by coordinating with contractors, designers, utility companies, and local residents - getting a front-row seat to how everything comes together
• Gain hands-on experience with material testing for asphalt, concrete, aggregates, and soils - learning the science behind construction quality
• Visit construction sites to observe daily contractor activities, document progress, and ensure everything stays on track
• Use tools like Microsoft Office, Appia, SiteManager , and BlueBeam to organize and report project info - building your tech skills along the way
• Support real construction projects involving roads, bridges, and utility systems- projects that directly impact communities
• Other tasks as needed to support the team

Qualifications

Qualifications :

• Student majoring in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Engineering, Construction Management, Land Surveying, Structural Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Civil Engineering
• Reliable personal vehicle and a valid Driver's License for transportation to the office and between project sites
• Strong work ethic, clear communication skills, and a genuine eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
