Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking an experienced craft education professional to lead hands-on instruction, classroom training, and skills assessments across multiple trades. The role partners with operations, apprenticeship programs, and safety to ensure training aligns with DPR standards and project workforce needs.

The ideal candidate has journeyman-level field experience and a passion for developing the next generation of skilled trades professionals, with NCCER-related credentials highly valued.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level experience in a skilled construction trade.
• 5+ years of construction craft or skilled trades experience preferred.
• Prior teaching, mentoring, foreman, superintendent, apprenticeship instruction or workforce development experience preferred.
• Experience with apprenticeship & journeyman programs, NCCER and workforce development training preferred.
• NCCER Instructor Certification or equivalent instructional certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction for construction craft training programs.
• Train apprentices, pre-apprentices, journeymen and other craft employees on technical skills and safety.
• Conduct craft skills assessments, evaluations and demonstrations.
• Support apprenticeship and workforce development programs through training.
• Build relationships with craft professionals and field leaders to promote continuous learning.
• Maintain training records, attendance, certifications and assessment results.
• Develop trade-specific career pathways and upskilling programs.
• Participate in curriculum improvements and industry trend updates.
