Job summary

Maryland New Directions (MND) is seeking a Training Facilitator to join our team in Baltimore. You will develop, implement, and present our building trades curriculum, delivering workforce training that prepares participants for skilled trades careers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education or Construction Management, or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum 3 years in construction, skilled trades, manufacturing, or workforce development.
Knowledge of safety practices and industry standards.

Responsibilities

Provide support to Training and Services teams across industry-related skills and materials.
Deliver in-person and online Training Facilitator.
Lead hands-on construction concepts and labs.
Demonstrate safe use of common construction tools.
Introduce terminology, blueprint reading, measurements, and basic construction math.
Coordinate employer visits and hands-on learning experiences.
Maintain training equipment and materials for safety and organization.
Build relationships with employers and unions to align training with current needs.
Conduct regional industry research to identify growth sectors for training opportunities.
Collaborate with staff to brainstorm additional industry options and opportunities.
Assist with technology: YouTube, Kahoot, Survey Monkey, Zoom, Email, Office 365, Canva, Microsoft, and Google platforms.
Attend partnership, services, and staff meetings as required.
