HireArt is seeking a Data Capture Technician to support reality capture on active construction sites in Texas. You will operate 360-degree cameras and surveying tools to collect detailed site data used for AI-driven analysis.

This part-time, field-based role is centered around Abilene, with Wednesdays and Fridays required, 8–10 hours per day. Ideal candidates are dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable outdoors.

Qualifications

• Must be available on Wednesdays and Fridays, 8–10 hours, in and around Abilene, TX.
• Comfort working on active construction sites and in varying outdoor conditions.
• Strong work ethic and dependable approach to fieldwork.
• Ability to walk long distances and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Clear communication and safety compliance with site/client protocols.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently to solve problems.
• Experience in construction, surveying, civil engineering, or related fields.
• Previous field-based or site-based work experience.
• Technical aptitude or familiarity with field equipment.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will operate reality capture equipment such as 360-degree cameras and surveying tools to collect detailed site data used for algorithmic and AI-driven analysis. This is a part-time, field-based role requiring Wednesdays and Fridays, 8-10 hours, in and around Abilene, TX
We're looking for candidates who are able to start immediately.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and enjoys hands-on fieldwork. You are comfortable working outdoors on active construction sites and using technology to collect accurate, high-quality data. Candidates with backgrounds in construction, photography, civil engineering, and college students are encouraged to apply.
Must be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday for a minimum of 5 hours per day between 8AM and 6PM.

Commitment:

This is a part-time, 1-year contract position staffed via HireArt. It is available to candidates who are local to the Abilene, TX area.
