Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer - Construction Zone Full Time in New York, NY. You will serve a manufacturing and industrial site, conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible security presence to deter incidents.

The role emphasizes customer service, professional communication with staff and visitors, and adherence to site procedures. Day shifts are scheduled, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A minimum age of 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Background investigation will be conducted per laws.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities at a construction and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction areas, building access points, storage areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain entry/exit logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, notifying site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Report security-related incidents, observed hazards, property damage, and policy concerns according to site procedures.
