Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for a construction zone in New York, NY. This role offers intentionally flexible weekend night shifts and opportunities to grow within a nationwide team committed to safety and service.

You will perform site-specific security procedures, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and provide professional customer service to personnel and visitors.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate security-related logs and incident documentation.
• Support a professional workplace environment by communicating clearly with site personnel and contacting Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency services when required.
