Job summary

SRE Engineering D.P.C. is seeking an experienced Site Safety Manager to lead health and safety programs at a midtown Manhattan project site. You will analyze trends, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide technical safety expertise to safeguard workers and the project.

Responsibilities include orientations, risk assessments, and reviewing safety procedures while collaborating with project teams to promote a safe working environment and timely safety improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in health and safety or related field.
• 5+ years in construction or safety experience.
• Experience leading safety teams.
• Strong risk assessment and mitigation skills.
• Ability to train and mentor safety staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety programs and procedures for one project site.
• Analyze safety trends and track incidents (accidents, injuries, fire, property damage).
• Deliver safety orientations and toolbox talks for project staff.
• Ensure all required permits and certifications are active and tracked.
• Provide technical safety support for training, equipment, inspections.
• Manage equipment maintenance and procured safety items for onsite crews.
• Provide project status and trend analyses to management.
• Oversee injury reporting and implement corrective actions.
• Review DHA/JHA documentation and support emergency planning.
