Job summary

HazTek Safety Management is seeking a Safety Professional in New Brunswick, NJ to support construction activities on an active project site. You will coordinate daily safety tasks with the project superintendent and subcontractors to ensure compliance with the project safety plan.

You will conduct site inspections, review JHAs and high‑risk work permits, lead toolbox talks, and assist with incident investigations while maintaining safety records and metrics.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety on active project sites.
• Certifications: CHST, OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, NFPA 70E; OSHA 510 preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore and MS Office.
• Able to work with field crews and project leadership.
• Commitment to HazTek core values.

Responsibilities

• Review JHAs, pre-task plans, and high-risk work permits; walk down work areas with project personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections, document safety observations, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Verify subcontractor safety submittals, training records, and equipment inspections.
• Lead weekly toolbox talks and support site safety observation and recognition programs.
• Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and follow-up.
• Maintain safety records, including JHAs, permits, inspections, SDS, toolbox talks, and safety metrics.
