Job summary

National Registry of Environmental Professionals is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety at our construction sites. You will partner with project teams to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced field environment.

The role focuses on active site safety through daily inspections, JSO completion, risk mitigation, and crew support to execute work safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in construction safety or related field.
• First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• OSHA 30 preferred; STSC or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
• Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement immediate corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
• Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
• Support new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
• Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.
