Job summary

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association, Inc seeks a Site Safety & Health Officer to ensure safety training, compliance, and reporting across projects. You will plan, implement, and supervise safety programs and COORDINATE with the Safety Manager to create safe work plans for all project phases.

You will lead safety surveys, investigations, and documentation, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local requirements while managing hazardous conditions and safety

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of health and safety laws and guidelines.
• Experience with fall protection and hazard assessments.
• Ability to conduct investigations and prepare reports on accidents and violations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and coordinate safety training programs; conduct weekly safety meetings.
• Perform safety surveys and inspections; prepare reports with corrective actions.
• Conduct post-accident investigations and recommend preventive measures.
• Assist in documenting property damage, injuries, and safety violations.
• Manage hazardous conditions and unsafe activities with managers and supervisors.
• Investigate process improvements to minimize hazards.
• Oversee safety programs at company level and per location.
• Develop and implement safety policies in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements.
• Prepare and present accident/violation reports; determine causes.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with site safety rules.
