Job summary

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association, Inc. is seeking an experienced safety professional to oversee inspection, evaluation, training and technical support for a construction site in Houston, TX.

You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety program and agency regulations across daily site operations. Responsibilities include identifying onsite risks, advising management, coordinating equipment needs, and leading safety investigations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years construction or safety experience required.
• Proven ability to identify onsite safety risks and mitigate them.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma acceptable with experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to present to all levels.
• Knowledge of construction methods and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, document and resolve onsite safety risks during daily site walks.
• Advise management on interpretation and implementation of safety regulations.
• Evaluate safety equipment needs and coordinate procurement.
• Investigate and report accidents and incidents for timely resolution.
• Develop and distribute worksite safety and evacuation plans.
• Provide first aid and emergency services to onsite personnel.
• Support subcontractor safety program evaluations and corrective actions.
• Present toolbox talks and project safety progress to leadership.
