Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of experience working in construction safety.
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or Construction Management or related discipline.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to learn new skills and apply them on the job.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to build client relationships.
• Critical-thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure and deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities.
• General knowledge of trade tools, equipment and materials used in construction.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, EPA, and other safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing and administering accident prevention plans and procedures.
• Provide safety technical expertise, training, and resources to the branch and workers.
• Identify and mitigate safety and health hazards, routine and non-routine.
• Conduct job site inspections and audits for policy compliance.
• Promote safe work practices through coaching and engagement.
• Investigate and report injuries, illnesses, near-misses; enforce corrective actions.
• Review safety incidents and reports for accuracy.
• Ensure timely submission of safety reports and documents.
• Act as liaison between company and clients on site safety management.
• Establish branch and project safety goals and compliance with regulations.
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and PPE.
