Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors in Richmond, VA is seeking a Site Materials Logistics Coordinator to manage the flow of materials and equipment on construction sites, ensuring timely deliveries and optimized site operations.

You will coordinate deliveries, oversee multiple material handlers, set up tool inventory, and use material tracking software to maintain accuracy while adhering to safety standards. A flexible schedule and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including fractions.
• Experience in construction logistics preferred.
• Ability to operate construction equipment; forklift/lull operator required.
• Familiarity with plumbing/pipe fittings and sheetmetal materials.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Effective communication with supervisors and teammates.
• Flexible work schedule, including varying shifts, nights and weekends.
• Basic computer and tablet skills, including email and material tracking apps.
• Skilled in communicating about receiving, inventorying, and documenting back-ordered deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials and equipment.
• Oversee and manage multiple material handlers for timely deliveries.
• Set up and maintain tool inventory; check in/out to personnel daily.
• Perform material handling as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Monitor inventory of consumables and restock when necessary.
• Communicate with supervisors and suppliers about back-ordered deliveries.
• Utilize logistics and material tracking software to track all orders.
• Cut materials and make subassemblies as directed.
• Work safely and comply with health and safety rules.
• Troubleshoot logistical issues as they arise and implement solutions.
