Job summary

Harvey Cleary in Austin, TX seeks a Superintendent to coordinate site construction activities and supervise field personnel to complete projects on schedule and within budget. This role focuses on safety, quality workmanship, and adherence to plans and specifications.

You will oversee subcontractors, procure materials, and manage inspections, driving efficient meetings and clear communication with Owners and project teams. Strong leadership and organization are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree preferred in construction management.
• Minimum of three years of construction experience.
• Experience in scheduling, field supervision, quality control, and production of all phases of commercial construction.
• OSHA 510 preferred, but not required.
• Current CPR/First-Aid certification or ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and supervises all construction activities.
• Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship that conforms to plans and specifications.
• Able to procure materials and keep a mindful eye on the budget
• Manage AHJ and 3rd party inspections as necessary to maintain project schedule
• Run efficient and productive Team and Foreman meetings
• Speak in depth about the project and schedule in Owner, Team and Foreman meetings
• Understand the project plans and specifications.
• Maintains positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
• Prepares, schedules, and supervises all project tasks
• Close out project punch list efficiently
• Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
• Ensures all employees and contractors are adhering to the company safety policy.
• Maintains a clean organized job site, including the field office.
• Demonstrates strong leadership characteristics.
• Other duties as assigned.
