Job summary

HavenCORE Property Management seeks an Assistant Construction Superintendent for the Los Angeles region. The role supports the Superintendent and Construction VP in defining scopes, tracking budgets, and ensuring timelines on an affordable multi-family project.

Candidate should have five years of construction experience, including 3–5 years in affordable multi-family work, and be adept at coordinating permits, inspections, and safety programs while maintaining clear written reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of overall construction experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in affordable multi-family residential projects is highly desirable.
• Familiarity coordinating with city inspectors and other regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations, including scheduling, inspections, quality control, safety, and budget monitoring.
• Work with the Project Management team to manage utilities, permits, plan checks, and Certificates of Occupancy.
• Direct subcontractors and supervise on-site personnel.
• Coordinate with city inspectors, deputy inspectors, and utility inspectors during site walkthroughs.
• Provide periodic written reporting and scheduling updates on progress.
• Ensure OSHA safety requirements are followed site-wide and SWPPP guidelines are observed.
