Job summary

John Moriarty & Associates of Virginia (JMAV) seeks a full-time Assistant Superintendent in the Charlottesville, Virginia area. The role supports the Superintendent in directing field forces to build according to plan, schedule, and quality.

Located within daily driving distance of Charlottesville and skilled in plans interpretation, reporting, and presentations. Requirements include a 4-year degree preferred in Building Construction or related field, and 4-6 years of construction experience

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred in Building Construction or relevant subject.
• 4-6 years of experience in construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent with direction and control of field forces to ensure project is built per plan, schedule, and quality.
• Assist with administration of subcontractor safety training and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractor deliverables and monitor activities for contract compliance.
• Schedule manpower and material deliveries with subcontractors.
• Coach / mentor Field Engineers.
