Job summary

B&S Site Development in Washington, DC is seeking a Laborer to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient construction site while supporting the overall project. You will perform duties such as site cleaning, scaffolding setup, material handling, and enforcing safety rules on the job site.

This role requires 1-2 years of construction experience, a GED or high school diploma, being at least 18, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

GED/high school diploma or related work experience.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and preparing construction sites.
Building and taking down scaffolding and temporary structures.
Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt, concrete, and dirt.
Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment.
Following instructions from supervisors
Must be able to work individually or within a team
Ability to work in all weather.
Must be punctual, reliable and be a hard worker.
Count truck loads entails: directing trucks where to dump, sign in tickets, keeping track of time and load count, assuring trucks are lowering their bed before leaving jobsite and making sure drivers are wearing their PPE when they get out of trucks.
