Job summary

Turner Construction Company in San Marcos, TX is seeking a dependable construction laborer to support daily site activities at client projects. You will perform physical tasks, assist with rough carpentry, site logistics, cleanup, and scaffold or protective system setup as directed.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans with foreman, following safety protocols, using basic measuring tools, coordinating with trades, and maintaining a clean, secure work area while contributing to project

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of general construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specs.
• Proficient use of common construction tools and equipment.
• Strong math and measurement skills (read rulers/tapes).
• Effective communication and teamwork; able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to travel and work night/weekend shifts as needed.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with jobsite cleanup, rough carpentry, site logistics, scaffolding, and protection systems as directed.
• Review project plans with foreman to determine work scope and materialneeds.
• Maintain safety and PPE; follow pre-task plans and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors; manage dumpster areas and waste.
• Track task progress and assist other trades as needed.
• Display teamwork, integrity, and leadership in daily operations.
