Job summary

Charah Solutions, Inc. is seeking a janitorial associate to perform cleaning duties at a construction field office. Responsibilities include cleaning interiors, disinfecting surfaces, emptying trash, and maintaining restrooms and break areas.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for performing janitorial duties in a construction field office as directed by site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning the interior of buildings including floors, carpet, rugs, windows, and walls
• Disinfect commonly used items like, desks, doorhandles, office tools, and phones
• Empty trash and recycle bins
• Clean, sanitize, and stocks restrooms
• Clean, sanitize, and stock office kitchen/ break area
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
• Organize the janitor closet and store all supplies and tools
• Use common cleaning tools
• Follow safety rules, and precautions
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Minimum 1-year experience working in a janitorial/ housekeeping position preferred
• General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Work Environment & Conditions

• Must be able to maintain body equilibrium, reach, grasp, bend and walk/stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to hear and see naturally or with correction
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
• Be subject to atmospheric conditions - one or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system or the skin: fumes, odor, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
• This position requires working in an internal environment on a construction site
