Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. is seeking a seasoned HSE lead for our Phoenix project site to champion Zero Harm in health, safety and environmental management. You will develop site-specific HSE plans, oversee field inspections, and mentor junior HSE staff and contractors to ensure regulatory and company compliance.

The role requires 5–7 years in HSE, strong OSHA knowledge, and a track record in construction safety. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred; 30-hour OSHA training is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of HSE management and oversight experience in construction safety.
• At least 3 years in an HSE supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards 29 CFR 1926 and 1910 and their construction applications.
• 30-hour OSHA construction training; OSHA 510/500 preferred.
• First aid and CPR certification required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops project-specific HSE Plan using company templates and site details.
• Supervises junior HSE staff and contractor HSE personnel.
• Ensures inspections and compliance with HSE rules.
• Reviews contractor job hazard analyses and hazard mitigation.
• Conducts site walk-downs and issues corrective actions.
• Administers safe work permit program (confined space, LOTO, excavations).
• Investigates accidents/incidents and maintains records.
• Provides monthly HSE performance metrics to site management.
