Job summary

The Health & Safety Professional is deployed to client project sites across the United States to lead safety programs, enforce policy manuals, and ensure on-site personnel comply with CDM Smith and client safety standards.

Responsibilities include conducting risk assessments, training, incident investigations, daily site inspections, and reporting. The role requires coordinating with construction leads, maintaining documentation, and producing monthly safety updates.

Qualifications

• Eight years of relevant safety experience.
• OSHA30 certification required.
• Degrees must be in Safety Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Ability to work at field sites and travel.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, local safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall health and safety direction on project sites.
• Administer safety policy manual, training, and JSA.
• Investigate accidents and near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare regulatory reports for enforcement agencies when applicable.
• Lead site safety orientation and monthly safety meetings.
