Job summary

CDM Smith seeks a Health & Safety Professional to work in the field at client project sites across the United States. You will plan and implement safety programs in line with policy manuals, Site-Specific Safety Plans, and client requirements.

You will lead investigations, training, and documentation while collaborating with construction teams. Travel up to 100% may be involved to support multiple projects and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• Degrees must be in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Eight years of relevant experience with HS diploma; five with Associate; two with Bachelor’s.
• OSHA30 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall health and safety direction on project sites.
• Administer daily safety program at construction site (policy manual, training, JSA).
• Document accidents/incidents and near misses; issue documentation.
• Investigate accidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Plan and deliver site safety training activities.
• Develop, review, and revise written safety plans.
• Ensure field personnel comply with safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain official project safety documentation files.
• Prepare regulatory safety reports when applicable.
• Provide safety orientation to new personnel and contractors.
• Lead Monthly Safety Moment Meetings.
