Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Health & Safety Professional to lead safety programs on client construction sites nationwide. The role requires coordinating with site teams to maintain compliance, train personnel, and document incidents throughout projects.

The candidate will conduct risk assessments, perform root-cause investigations, and develop site-specific safety plans, with a focus on minimizing hazards and ensuring regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Eight years relevant experience with a high school diploma.
• Five years relevant experience with an Associate degree.
• Two years relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree must be in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• OSHA30 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides overall health and safety direction on assigned project sites.
• Manages daily safety program at the construction site (administration of safety policy, training, JSA, etc.).
• Documents accidents/incidents, near misses, and issues documentation accordingly.
• Conducts accident/incident investigations to identify root causes and recommendations to reduce hazards.
• Performs follow-up investigations to verify effectiveness.
• Plans and implements site safety training.
