Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Health & Safety Professional to oversee safety at client project sites across the United States. This role focuses on implementing the Occupational Safety & Health Policy Manual, site safety plans, training, and investigations to minimize hazards on construction sites.

The candidate will collaborate with project leads, ensure adherence to company and client safety standards, and provide monthly safety reports. Travel to sites is required as part of this position.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations and proper application.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall health and safety direction on assigned project sites.
• Administer safety program at construction sites and train staff.
• Document accidents, near misses, and conduct investigations for root cause.
• Plan and implement safety training and site safety plans.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies and maintenance of records.
• Prepare regulatory reports for enforcement agencies when applicable.
• Lead site safety orientations and monthly safety moments.
