Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking a Health & Safety Professional to lead safety on client project sites across the United States. The role ensures compliance with corporate and client safety standards, reviews safety plans, conducts trainings, and documents incidents.

Travel to site locations is 100% as projects run nationwide. The position requires an OSHA30 and relevant safety/engineering education with several years of field experience in construction safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of relevant experience.
• The associate or bachelor's degree must be in Safety Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
• OSHA30

Responsibilities

• Provides overall health and safety direction on assigned project sites.
• Administers the safety program at construction sites per policy manual.
• Documents accidents and near misses and files reports accordingly.
• Investigates accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Conducts follow-up investigations to verify effectiveness.
• Plans and delivers required safety training.
• Develops and updates site-specific safety plans.
• Ensures field personnel follow all safety policies and procedures.
