Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Abilene, TX seeks an entry-level helper to assist skilled craftspeople. You will learn to interpret drawings, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, and assist with conduit installations and wiring terminations.

Responsibilities include supporting installation, testing, and startup of equipment, while ensuring safety practices and communication with supervision. Physical work, outdoors in varying weather, overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; experience preferred in field or related area.
• Ability to understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline and safe tool use.

Responsibilities

• Learn to interpret drawings and select tools and procedures for troubleshooting.
• Assist with electrical conduit installation, wire terminations, and cable placement.
• Assist with installation, testing, and startup of systems and equipment.
• Observe equipment for hazards and notify supervisor of issues.
• Work with high/low voltage systems and perform repairs as needed.
