Job summary

Virginia Community Colleges, via Northern Virginia Community College, seeks a Manager, Construction Services to provide technical and managerial oversight of the non-capital construction program across multiple campuses.

You will supervise Project Managers, review scopes, budgets, schedules, and procurement, ensuring safety, quality, and customer service while coordinating with design consultants and contractors.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of planning and project management processes.
• Thorough knowledge of construction project delivery methods and procurement processes.
• Knowledge of CPSM requirements and public building codes/regulations.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and perform under pressure.
• OSHA 30 certificate.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 7-10 Project Managers across multiple campuses.
• Review project scopes, schedules, budgets, forecasts, and procurement packages.
• Ensure compliance with CPSM guidelines, college standards, safety and quality controls.
• Coordinate across campuses to prevent scope overlap and scheduling conflicts.
• Assist in procurement activities and contract administration for project portfolios.
• Provide mentorship and professional development for project management staff.
