Job description

The Construction Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing and facilitating construction projects ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, safely, and within budget. This position will be responsible for coordinating various aspects of the construction process and works closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Will oversee day to day operations on multiple construction sites to projects are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Will develop and manage detailed construction schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and facilitating communication with team members.
  • Will maintain accurate records of project process, including daily reports, meeting minutes, and change orders.
  • Will ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards on site. Will conduct regular safety inspections and implement necessary corrective actions promptly.
  • Will coordinate with subcontractors to ensure they meet deadlines, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
  • Will monitor project budgets closely, identifying potential cost overruns early and implementing measures to mitigate financial risk.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Proactively identifies and resolves construction related problems through effective problem-solving skills and strong communication.
  • Ad hoc- projects, other duties assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field. PMP certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the construction/telecom industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and stay within budgets.
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be able to interact professionally with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in Construction or Project Management software (Microsoft Office, Adobe, Penguin so something similar)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Environmental and Physical Demands:

This position will work in both indoor and outdoor environments, Will primarily perform work sitting often for extended periods of time. Frequent use of a computer, extended screen time, and regular use of hands. When outdoors,

This position will be exposed to outdoor elements to include but not limited to extreme heat and cold temperatures, humidity, rain, snow, sleet, wind, uneven terrain, road noise and traffic. Will routinely work around heavy equipment and tools with moving mechanical parts.
