Job description

What We’re Looking For

This is a full‑time scheduler position supporting our client, Miami Dade Aviation Department (MDAD). This opportunity entails performing complex scheduling assignments with limited supervision. The role involves building and maintaining project schedules, monitoring and reporting on status, and analyzing schedules and associated changes for key risk areas and milestone impacts.

At HNTB you can create a career that is meaningful to you while building communities that matter. For more than a century we have delivered solutions for some of the largest, most complex infrastructure projects across the country. With our historic growth it is an exciting time to join our team of employee‑owners.

What You’ll Do
  • Independently develop new project schedules for moderately complex projects using scheduling software.
  • Maintain project schedules, including progress updates; revise forecasts and evaluate the impact of delays.
  • Communicate schedule status and key risk areas to members of the project management team.
  • Perform schedule risk analysis, including quantitative risk analysis.
  • Conduct schedule analysis to identify critical activities, risk areas, key milestones, and significant changes; develop “what‑if” scenarios to explore alternate sequencing and mitigate or avoid schedule delays.
  • Perform claims‑related analysis using contractor claims, delay cost estimates, time impacts, and related data.
  • Prepare reporting from schedules, including EVA analysis and integration of cost and schedule.
  • Perform contemporaneous schedule analysis.
  • Review contractor schedule submittals in detail, including baseline and progress updates.
  • Research project documentation related to claim data, including project correspondence and inspection diaries.
  • Analyze contract documents and construction documents (plans and specifications) to translate scope of work, milestones, contract time, and construction phasing into the schedule.
  • Assist the project team in planning the work, including developing a Work‑Breakdown Structure (WBS), estimating durations, and sequencing the work (hard restraints and soft restraints).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Business and 6 years of relevant experience, or
  • In lieu of education, 10 years of relevant experience.
What We Prefer
  • Strong experience preparing and reviewing project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Candidates local to South Florida.
