Job summary

Dabri, Inc., a California-based consulting firm, seeks a Construction Scheduler to support the LACCD in Los Angeles. The role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will coordinate project schedules, review contractor schedules, perform time impact analysis and cost analysis, and participate in change orders. A Bachelor's degree and Primavera/MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of cost engineering and scheduling theories and practices.
• Experience with time impact analysis and construction claims.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies.
• Perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance.
• Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule.
• Perform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims.
• Participate in change order negotiations.
• Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
• Identify schedule related problems and recommend corrective actions and solutions.
• Conduct construction/project site visits for progress reporting.
• Review contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress, prepare narrative of findings, and present to management for decision making.
• Review and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.
• Perform cost analysis in support of design and construction phases of capital projects.
• Analyze actual expenditures versus budget performance.
• Prepare cost loaded schedule to support cash flow projections.
• Understand and apply Build LACCD contracts, policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will help support the LACCD, Los Angeles Community College District. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies
• Perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance
• Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule
• Perform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims
• Participate in change order negotiations
• Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses
• Identify schedule related problems which arise during project execution and recommend corrective actions and creative solutions
• Conduct construction/project site visits for progress reporting
• Review contractor’s weekly and monthly schedule progress, prepare narrative of findings, submit and present to management for decision making

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education.
• Advanced proficiency in specified software including, but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.
• Experience with time impact analysis.
• Experience with construction claims and change orders.

Salary Range:

$ 125K -135K per year
