Job summary

O2EPCM, Inc. dba O2 Engineering, Projects & Construction Management is seeking an experienced Senior Scheduler to coordinate project schedules across multiple sites in the Los Angeles area.

The role requires deep expertise in scheduling, cost engineering, and change order negotiations to support capital programs. You will conduct time impact analyses, review contractor progress, and provide narrative reports to management for decision making, leveraging Primavera and MS Office tools.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera Scheduling Software and MS Office (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with time impact analysis.
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the preparation of project schedules based on defined project execution philosophies.
  • Perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance.
  • Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule.
  • Perform time impact analysis of project schedule delays and potential claims.
  • Participate in change order negotiations.
  • Perform Critical Path and Earned Value analyses.
  • Identify schedule related problems and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct construction site visits for progress reporting.
  • Review contractor’s weekly/monthly schedule progress and present findings to management.
  • Review and evaluate contractor recovery schedules.
  • Perform cost analysis in support of design and construction phases.
  • Analyze actual expenditures versus budget performance.
  • Prepare cost loaded schedule for cash flow projections.
  • Understand and apply Build LACCD policies.

Salary Range: $151,000 - $158,000

Position Description

  • Prepare cost loaded schedule to support comprehensive cash flow projections
  • Understand, interpret and apply contracts, policies and procedures within Build LACCD guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing

  • Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • 10 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large construction programs.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or other related field. Additional qualifying experience in excess to the minimum stated above may be substituted for the required education.
  • Advanced proficiency in specified software including, but not limited to, Primavera Scheduling Software, MS Office Applications including Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of cost engineering and scheduling.
  • Experience with time impact analysis.
  • Experience with construction claims and change orders.
  • Flexibility in schedule and transportation to work at multiple sites based on assigned schedule and duties.
