Job summary

Performance Contracting is seeking a Safety Technician for PCI Masthead Rigging operations based in Tempe, AZ. The role focuses on promoting safe work practices and administering the Accident Prevention Plan across sites and at the branch.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in construction safety.
• Must have OSHA 30 certification.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Displays strong verbal communication skills to convey information to employees and stakeholders.
• Able to stand for long periods and work outdoors.
• Physically able to perform assigned tasks and lift 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices and behaviors to instill an injury-free culture among all site and field personnel.
• Assist with the administration of PCI’s Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures on jobsites and at the branch.
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities.
• Assist in identifying, correcting, and mitigating safety and health hazards.
• Ensure safety reports and documentation are submitted on time and meet client requirements.
• Coach employees to comply with accident prevention plans, policies, and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential safety hazards.
• Conduct job site inspections and audits to evaluate compliance.
• Investigate and evaluate injuries and illnesses for the project site.
• Evaluate and approve safety equipment and PPE.
