Job summary

Performance Contracting, Inc. (PCI) is seeking a Safety Technician for its Madison 574 operations based in Sun Prairie, WI. The role focuses on promoting injury-free practices, administering safety plans, and representing PCI in Safety Committee activities.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30 certification, and strong communication skills. Local candidates to the Madison area are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years' experience in construction safety.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work practices to instill an injury-free culture among site and field personnel.
• Assist with administering PCI's Accident Prevention Plan, policies, and procedures on jobsites and at the branch.
• Represent PCI and participate in Safety Committee activities.
• Identify, correct, and mitigate safety and health hazards.
• Ensure safety reports and documentation are submitted on time per client requirements.
• Coach employees to comply with accident prevention plans and procedures.
• Investigate injuries and illnesses for project sites.
• Conduct site inspections and periodic safety audits.
• Evaluate PPE and safety equipment for approval.
